FindBusParts.com Terms of Use
By creating an account, listing an item, placing an order, making an offer, posting in Parts Wanted, or otherwise using FindBusParts.com, you agree to these Terms and the incorporated policies below.
1. Commercial marketplace and eligibility
FindBusParts.com is intended primarily for commercial transactions involving motorcoach, transit, school-bus, shuttle, fleet, and related vehicle parts. You represent that you are at least 18 years old, have authority to bind the business you identify, and will use the marketplace lawfully. FindBusParts.com may require identity, business, tax, banking, ownership, or seller-verification information and may suspend selling privileges until verification is complete.
2. FindBusParts.com is a venue—not the seller, buyer, manufacturer, carrier, installer, or inspector
FindBusParts.com provides technology that allows independent users to locate, list, discuss, buy, and sell parts. Unless a listing expressly identifies FindBusParts.com as the seller, FindBusParts.com does not own, possess, inspect, test, warehouse, package, ship, install, repair, certify, or take title to listed items. The purchase contract is directly between the buyer and seller. FindBusParts.com is not an agent, broker, joint venturer, fiduciary, employer, dealer, or guarantor of either party.
3. Account security and accurate information
You must provide accurate, current information; protect your password and verification codes; promptly update account details; and notify FindBusParts.com of suspected unauthorized access. Activity through your credentials is treated as authorized unless you promptly report compromise. FindBusParts.com may refuse, limit, or terminate accounts that present fraud, safety, legal, sanctions, payment, chargeback, or reputation risk.
4. Seller duties and listing certification
Each seller represents and warrants that it has lawful title and authority to sell the item; the item is not stolen, counterfeit, recalled, illegally imported, subject to an undisclosed lien, or prohibited; and the listing truthfully and completely describes condition, defects, damage, mileage or hours when relevant, part number, photos, quantity, warranty, return terms, location, shipping, core charges, and known compatibility limitations.
Sellers must disclose known defects and may not conceal damage, use misleading stock photos, manipulate identifiers, make unsupported safety claims, or state guaranteed fitment without a reasonable basis. A seller remains responsible for its express warranties, product representations, taxes, regulatory obligations, recalls, packaging, shipping, and post-sale support.
5. Buyer duties and fitment responsibility
Before purchasing, the buyer must review the complete listing, ask necessary questions, confirm part numbers, dimensions, electrical specifications, emissions configuration, model year, serial number, VIN applicability, programming requirements, core requirements, and installation needs. Compatibility tools and seller statements are informational unless expressly guaranteed in writing by the seller. Installation should be performed by qualified personnel.
6. Transactions, fees, taxes, and off-platform activity
Prices, shipping, taxes, marketplace service fees, applicable payment charges, restocking charges, and core charges shown at checkout form part of the transaction. Users authorize FindBusParts.com and its payment providers to collect, hold, transfer, reverse, refund, offset, or reserve funds as permitted by these Terms. Sellers are responsible for taxes and reporting assigned to them by law. FindBusParts.com may collect or remit taxes where legally required.
Payment assurance and buyer protection apply only to eligible transactions completed through FindBusParts.com checkout. FindBusParts.com may limit communication that attempts to avoid fees or move a transaction off-platform. Cash, wire, check, cryptocurrency, or other payment sent outside FindBusParts.com is at the user's sole risk and is not covered.
7. Used parts; “AS IS” sales; seller warranties
Unless a seller expressly gives a written warranty in the listing, used, new-old-stock, rebuilt, remanufactured, take-off, surplus, and “for parts” items are offered by the seller AS IS, WHERE IS, WITH ALL FAULTS, subject to the seller's duty not to misrepresent or conceal material facts. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the seller disclaims implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except where those warranties cannot legally be disclaimed. Any written seller warranty controls only between buyer and seller.
8. Prohibited items and conduct
Users may not list or transact in stolen goods, counterfeit goods, unsafe recalled goods without lawful remediation, tampered emissions-control devices, items whose sale or installation would violate law, hazardous material without required compliance, falsified documents, or goods subject to another person's ownership or lien. Fraud, threats, harassment, discriminatory conduct, review manipulation, fee avoidance, data scraping, malware, impersonation, and interference with the service are prohibited.
9. Marketplace enforcement
FindBusParts.com may remove content, place holds, delay payouts, require documents, cancel transactions, refund buyers, restrict features, suspend accounts, cooperate with law enforcement or regulators, and preserve records when FindBusParts.com reasonably believes action is needed for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, payment risk, policy enforcement, or protection of users. FindBusParts.com is not required to monitor every listing or communication.
10. Disclaimer of FindBusParts.com warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDBUSPARTS.COM AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS PROVIDE THE SITE, SERVICES, CONTENT, MATCHES, PAYMENT FACILITATION, AND COMMUNICATION TOOLS “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY WARRANTY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, SECURITY, AVAILABILITY, OR RESULTS.
11. Limitation of FindBusParts.com liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FINDBUSPARTS.COM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR: (A) ANY ITEM, DEFECT, FAILURE, INJURY, DEATH, PROPERTY DAMAGE, RECALL, LOSS OF USE, TOWING, LABOR, DIAGNOSTIC COST, INSTALLATION COST, REMOVAL COST, SUBSTITUTE PART, LOST REVENUE, LOST PROFIT, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, DATA LOSS, REPUTATIONAL HARM, OR THIRD-PARTY CLAIM; (B) THE ACTS OR OMISSIONS OF A BUYER, SELLER, CARRIER, PROCESSOR, INSTALLER, MANUFACTURER, OR OTHER THIRD PARTY; OR (C) INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
FindBusParts.com’s aggregate liability arising from the service or a transaction will not exceed the greater of (i) the fees the claimant paid directly to FindBusParts.com during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or (ii) $100. This limitation does not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
12. User release and indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, each user releases FindBusParts.com from claims arising from disputes with another user or third party. You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless FindBusParts.com and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and providers from claims, losses, liabilities, penalties, recalls, taxes, chargebacks, costs, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your listings, items, representations, sales, purchases, installation, misuse, legal violations, infringement, account activity, or breach of these Terms.
13. Intellectual property and content license
You retain ownership of content you submit but grant FindBusParts.com a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, display, distribute, and use that content to operate, secure, advertise, and improve the marketplace. You represent that you have rights to the content. FindBusParts.com names, logos, software, and design remain FindBusParts.com property.
14. Changes, termination, and survival
FindBusParts.com may update these Terms prospectively by posting a revised version and providing notice when legally required. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Users may stop using the service, but payment duties, transaction obligations, releases, indemnities, warranty disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute provisions survive termination.
Returns & Refunds Policy
Bus parts can be heavy, specialized, used, and expensive to ship. This policy separates protected problems from buyer-choice returns and requires prompt documentation.
Report damage, wrong item, counterfeit item, or material misdescription within five calendar days after delivery.
Report a defect reasonably discoverable only through bench testing or initial installation within 14 calendar days.
Sellers should approve, deny with reasons, or propose a resolution within three business days.
1. Covered return reasons
A buyer may request FindBusParts.com assistance when an eligible item is not received; arrives materially damaged beyond disclosed condition; is a different item or quantity; is counterfeit; has an undisclosed material defect; or is materially inconsistent with the listing's description, photos, part number, or express written warranty.
2. Fitment errors, changed mind, and discretionary returns
A buyer's ordering mistake, failure to verify fitment, change of mind, project cancellation, duplicate purchase, or preference issue is not automatically covered. These returns are allowed only when the listing or seller expressly accepts them. Unless otherwise stated, the buyer pays outbound and return freight and may owe a disclosed restocking fee not exceeding 20%.
3. Final-sale items
Custom, programmed, cut, fabricated, special-order, hazardous, opened sealed-electrical, installed, altered, disassembled, contaminated, core-exchange, and “For Parts” items may be final sale when clearly disclosed. “AS IS” or final-sale language does not protect a seller who ships the wrong item, lacks title, sells a counterfeit item, or materially misrepresents or conceals known condition.
4. Return procedure
- Open a return request from Account → Returns & Disputes before shipping anything back.
- Provide the order number, reason, requested resolution, photos or video, packaging condition, shipping label, serial or part numbers, and diagnostic support when relevant.
- Keep the item, packaging, pallet, crate, labels, and accessories available for inspection. Do not install, alter, disassemble, clean, repair, or discard the item after discovering a problem unless necessary to prevent damage or injury.
- Use the authorized return address and a trackable carrier. Unauthorized or collect-on-delivery returns may be refused.
- Return the same item and all included components in substantially the received condition, allowing for reasonable inspection.
5. Shipping responsibility
If the return is approved because the item was materially not as described, wrong, counterfeit, or damaged before delivery, the seller is responsible for reasonable return shipping and the buyer receives a refund of the item price and basic outbound shipping. For buyer-choice returns, the buyer pays shipping both ways. Expedited charges, installation, diagnostics, removal, towing, lost use, and consequential costs are not refundable unless the seller separately agrees.
6. Refund timing and deductions
Refunds are issued to the original payment method after the seller confirms receipt or FindBusParts.com otherwise determines the evidence supports a refund. FindBusParts.com may deduct authorized restocking, missing-component, damage, return-freight, platform, or chargeback amounts. Payment-provider processing times may apply. A partial refund may be used when the buyer keeps the item and both parties agree.
7. Freight damage and carrier claims
The receiving party must inspect freight before signing when practical, note visible damage on the delivery receipt, photograph packaging and the item, and preserve materials for the carrier. The seller remains responsible for adequate packaging. FindBusParts.com may require the seller, buyer, or both to cooperate in a carrier claim before final resolution.
8. Cores and deposits
Core credits are governed by the listing's disclosed requirements, including eligible part number, condition, completeness, shipping deadline, and freight responsibility. A core deposit is not refundable when the returned core does not satisfy disclosed criteria.
FindBusParts.com Buyer Protection
Buyer Protection is a payment-resolution program, not a product warranty or insurance policy.
Eligible claims
For eligible purchases paid entirely through FindBusParts.com checkout, FindBusParts.com may assist with non-delivery, wrong item, counterfeit item, undisclosed material damage, material misdescription, or failure to honor an express written seller warranty. The buyer must pay through the platform, keep communications on FindBusParts.com, comply with notice deadlines, provide requested evidence, and avoid chargeback duplication while the claim is under review.
Not covered
Coverage does not include off-platform payment, fitment errors not caused by seller misrepresentation, expected wear, disclosed defects, cosmetic variation consistent with photos, buyer damage, improper storage or installation, unauthorized repair, normal diagnostic uncertainty, shipping delays outside the seller's control after timely shipment, or consequential losses.
Possible outcomes
FindBusParts.com may facilitate communication, hold funds, approve a return, direct a replacement, grant full or partial refund, deny a claim, or require further evidence. A FindBusParts.com transaction decision allocates marketplace funds only and does not determine personal injury, product liability, regulatory, warranty, or other legal rights between the parties.
Seller Payment Assurance
Qualifying sellers receive payment after FindBusParts.com confirms cleared buyer funds and the transaction passes the delivery and inspection process.
What is assured
For an eligible sale, FindBusParts.com will not instruct a seller to ship until the platform records buyer payment as captured or otherwise secured. Payout is generally scheduled after confirmed delivery and expiration of the applicable inspection window, or earlier when the buyer affirmatively accepts the item.
Conditions and exclusions
Payment Assurance applies only to the amount recorded in FindBusParts.com checkout and requires a verified seller, accurate listing, on-platform payment, shipment to the approved address, valid tracking or pickup confirmation, compliance with shipping deadlines, and cooperation with disputes. It does not cover off-platform amounts, prohibited items, fraud, collusion, falsified tracking, seller breach, unauthorized shipment changes, or transactions FindBusParts.com reasonably identifies as high risk.
Holds, reserves, refunds, and chargebacks
Seller payment is not an unconditional guarantee against refunds, card-network disputes, ACH returns, fraud, processor reversals, legal orders, or negative balances. FindBusParts.com or its processor may delay payout, maintain reserves, reverse transfers, offset future proceeds, or debit an authorized payout account when a refund, dispute, chargeback, fee, penalty, or seller obligation is validly assessed. Sellers must provide evidence promptly and keep sufficient funds available.
Payout timing
Estimated payout dates are not guarantees. Banks, processors, weekends, holidays, verification reviews, delivery exceptions, returns, disputes, reserves, and regulatory checks may delay availability. FindBusParts.com is not liable for delay caused by a bank, network, processor, carrier, government, force majeure event, or incomplete seller information.
Dispute Resolution
1. User-to-user transaction process
Before filing an external proceeding concerning an item, buyer and seller must first use FindBusParts.com's return or transaction-dispute tools and make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter for at least 10 business days. FindBusParts.com may facilitate but is not required to act as an arbitrator between users.
2. Informal notice to FindBusParts.com
Before starting arbitration against FindBusParts.com, the claimant must send an individualized written notice to support@findbusparts.com describing the account, transaction, facts, legal basis, supporting documents, and requested relief. The parties will attempt good-faith resolution for 30 days after receipt.
3. Binding individual arbitration
If unresolved, any dispute between a user and FindBusParts.com arising from or relating to the service, these Terms, a transaction, or the parties' relationship will be resolved by one neutral arbitrator administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Commercial Arbitration Rules for business disputes, or its Consumer Arbitration Rules when those rules legally apply. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this arbitration provision. Hearings may occur remotely or in St. Clair County, Illinois, unless the applicable rules or law require another location.
4. No class or representative proceedings
Claims may be brought only in an individual capacity. Neither party may participate as a plaintiff, claimant, class member, private attorney general, or representative in a class, collective, consolidated, mass, or representative action. The arbitrator may award relief only to the individual party and only as necessary to resolve that party's claim.
5. Exceptions
Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small-claims court. FindBusParts.com may seek temporary or injunctive relief in court to protect intellectual property, confidential information, accounts, systems, users, or the marketplace from misuse, fraud, security threats, or prohibited conduct. Matters that cannot legally be arbitrated may proceed in court.
6. Arbitration opt-out
A new user may opt out of arbitration by emailing support@findbusparts.com within 30 days after first accepting these Terms. The notice must include the user's full name, business name, account email, mailing address, and an unequivocal statement that the user opts out of the FindBusParts.com arbitration agreement. Opting out does not affect other Terms.
7. Governing law and court venue
These Terms are governed by the Federal Arbitration Act and, to the extent state law applies, the laws of Illinois without regard to conflict-of-law rules. For claims not subject to arbitration, the parties consent to exclusive jurisdiction and venue in the state or federal courts serving St. Clair County, Illinois, and waive objections to personal jurisdiction or venue.

Full payment-card numbers should be handled by the payment processor rather than stored by FindBusParts.com.
How information is used and shared

Retention, security, and choices
FindBusParts.com retains information as reasonably needed for accounts, transactions, disputes, taxes, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and enforcement. Communications subject to a dispute, investigation, legal hold, or other preservation obligation may be retained beyond the ordinary schedule. Reasonable safeguards will be used, but no system is completely secure. Users may update account information and communication choices through Account Settings. Legal or legitimate business retention needs may prevent deletion of some records.
